Commissioning

From my recent experience........

In contrast to popular CWA (work area) schedules, commissioning activities will eventually be centered around the facility process systems.  At some point in a construction project or turnaround this schedule transition will have to occur.  Some companies build a separate C&SU schedule in order to accommodate this.

Planning for the commissioning phase involves site operations who normally operates within the "process system" world. This portion of a schedule will need to be organized by process systems in order for the site team to test and energize certain portions of a facility.  These process systems will require that a startup sequence be followed according to startup procedures.

Hope this helps,

hi Roy,

I am intresting about the commissioning schedule. there are some understanding based on my experience.

  1. Classfy the system or subsystem based on the process, this work need process engineers support.
  2. Confirm the input and output for each subsystem or system to classfy the sequence.
  3. Based on the commissioning strategy/plan (e.g. if purcashe outer material etc.), make the commissioning works / schedule.
