My point perhaps being, that claims and the thought behind claiming additional monies or time etc., is perhaps arbitrary, as "the deals" will be done irrespective of all the ammo. that Planners or QSs can drum up.

Not entirely sure what point youre trying to make but I would think that there are many people out there working for contractors that have seen a claim on the job turn it from an unprofitable to a profitable project.
