I have imported a file without its baseline. But I see baseline start/finishes dates are different than project start/finish dates. I checked there is no assigned baseline. I expect if there is no baseline assigned to the project then baseline dates should be equal to project dates.
Could you please explain ?

Hi Irfan,
Insert the Planned Start and Planned Finish dates in the gantt chart columns; you should find that these dates are different from Early Start / Finish dates, and the same as Baseline ones.
When a project has no baseline, planned dates are used instead.
Years ago, the P6 guru Ron Winter had published a very interesting paper "Understanding P6 dates"; easy to find on the Internet, as I do not know how to share my local file on the forum
