Importing Microsoft Project (XML) to P6

Hi - I am unable to import Microsoft Project (XML) to P6. There is an article on Oracle Support about it.

Could someone with an Oracle support account login (link below) and let me know what the solution is please.

  1. A Java JRE must be installed, it will located in a path similar to "C:\Program Files\Java\jre<version>" or "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre<version>". For example: C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_131
  2. Copy the full path, including the "jre<version>" folder, to clipboard. For example: C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_131
  3. Click the Start menu, right-click Computer and select 'Properties'.
  4. On the left, click the "Advanced System Settings" link.
  5. Select 'Environment Variables' at the bottom of the pop-up window
  6. In the System Variables section, scroll through to see if there's an existing JAVA_HOME variable. If so, highlight it then click the Edit button at the bottom; if not, click the 'New' button instead.
  7. If 'New' was clicked, for the Variable Name type JAVA_HOME (in all caps).
  8. For Variable Value paste the path that was copied to the clipboard in Step 2.
  9. Click OK, then click OK again. Close the "View basic info about your computer" window.
  10. Log out of P6 and log in again for the setting change to be read.
