Can someone give a short and clear description of window analysis? I read a lot of things but still confused. Please do not confuse me with many paragraphs or links etc.... I just need a few sentences clear description if possible.

you can look at a particular time frame where you beleiev that you were delayed and prove your delay during this timeframe.

Short and simple use of Windows Analysis - don't bother because it is a waste of time and useless results.
If you are going to present a delay analysis by impacting an event on a theoretical critical path then do it once on the whole programme not 12 times on bits of it.

You look at a specified time frame and do what exactly and what do you achieve?
you are looking at a spefici time frame or period from X date to Y date. Hence the term Window it is a window of time
