Open end tasks

Hi All,

How we can extract report in MS project showing the open end tasks? rather than adding predessor and successor columns.

Thanks a lot Tom, however I would like to comment that in P6, once you schedule you get a report including the open end tasks.

Make a new filter called "Open Ends" with the following criteria:

- Predecessors - equals - [empty field]

Or - Successors - equals - [empty field]

For "[empty field]," enter no characters at all.

Then include this filter in your report specification - or just apply the filter in a view.

 

Note: this is the simplest "open-ends" criteria, same as P6, and does not include dangling starts/finishes.  Filtering danglers requires a little macro code ("vba").
