Import NEW Activities from Excel to P6 Error: control_updates_flag is null for TASK ActivityID:

Hello All,

I am getting above mentioned error while importing new activities in to P6 -

I could not find a accurate answer, while going through the forum - Please asssist if there is a workaround.

try this

Create new activities in the project that you want to import the new activities to (in Primavera). The number of activities should match the number of new activities that you want to add.
Export the Primavera file to Excel. Ensure you have the correct columns, including:
- Activity ID
- Activity Name
In the Excel file replace the ‘Activity Name’ and other fields as needed with new activities. Ensure you don’t change the ‘Activity ID’ field.
Import the Excel to Primavera.

this procedure will update the existing "placeholder activities" with correct activities from the Excel.
