I have a question, please help me.
I revised durations in a schedule at P6 regardless of remaining units and remaining duration and submitted to HOD.
The original budget available and duration type already defined by previous planner is fixed duration & units.
The client asked to revise the budget and add the revised budget in P6 and then from P6 take the weekly planned budget.
How can I revise the budget unit without changing the duration and date?
If I add the remaining units, the remaingin duration will change, so current completion date also will change.
Please support me how to revise the budget units without affecting claimed completion dates and how to extract weekly budget unit from p6, same what we defined in excel in terms of weekly man-hour histogram????
just filter by wbs and on the left use the + and - to roll up and to unroll the procurment activities also in the gropuing select show grand totals

It is requested to show only procurement activities in P6 and all other ativities should be shown in summary level (wbs level).
I filtered but summary of other activities are shown without date and without gantt chart bar.
Please help me in this case.
filter for ALL activities add a column look under the General Category and bring activity TYPE to the right
on the first activity at the top in the activity type column change it to fixed duration and units/time
now do a fill down in that column
now go to the Projects directory
make sure that your project is highlighted
click the defaults tab and select fixed duration and units/time
done

I added I added remaining unit for an activity, after re-scheduling the start & finish date will change without respecting to predessor. When I remove the remaining unit, It follows the relationship.
Could you tell me how to avoid changing of dates in this situation?

got to tools Global change and add a new global change
where physical percent complete is greater than 0
then duration % complete = physical % complete
then execute the global change press change
then committ chnages
do this afret each update after inputting ALL physical % completes
and before you calculate the schedule
