I have an activitiy (not started) which is scheduled to start in 29 March 2017 and finish in 08 May 2017. However, when i chect the remaining total cost layout, it shows the total cost only in May 2017. It does not distribute the cost evenly.
I do not have any curve assingned to that resource.
Calculation settings which are checked:
Link budget and At Completion for not started activities
Reset remaining duration and units to original
Substract actual from at completion
Recalculate Actual Units and cost when duration % changes
Link actual to date and actual this period units and costs

what he means is that if you go to the resources directory and look at the resources and look at the units & prices are there DIFFERENT price/units on different effective dates ?
Under the durations header, there are original lag and original duration for the resource. It shows both as zero.
But i could not get the following question.
Does the resource dictionary define a price for the resource over the period of the activity?
The resource assignment can have a lag different from the activity,
Right click on the columns displayed in the "Resources" tab of the activity details lower layout, and the colum for Resource lag and duration are there......
Duration type is fixed duration & units/time. The activity has no lag. The resource has standard rate price.
make sure that your duration type is fixed duration & units/time

What is your project level setting in the "Resources" tab for "Drive activity dates by default"
