Programme with Conflict

Hi,

As a Planner what is the best way/steps to convince site managers about sequence and duration of programme because on the sites they always have a conflict with the Planner about the programme and that is the reason site manager prepare their own programme to follow rather than they follow construction programme which is accurate and accepted by Client and Design Team.

How to minimise this conflict between planner and site manager on programme issue?

Experts please advise asap.

Hi Andy

There is always more than one way to build something.

You are a part of a team and the people building the structure will want it done their way. Your job is to put their plan into the software.

A typical alternative: Fly the structure up and return to complete the drainage and GF slab after the props have been removed.

Thanks Mike.

In a Residential project, can you please quote any one example of that alternative? just in a few words please.

Hi Andy

It is called teamwork.

The people who are building the project know what they are doing. Your job is to put their expert requirements into a working programme.

If you know better than they do by all means suggest an alternative otherwise just do as you are told.

Best regards
