Here is the situation. I am trying to take an in progress schedule and use it for a new project. The unstatused baseline is not available, only an in-progress version. Normally this is no problem, I simply run a global change for activity status not equal to not started then equal not started and reset remaining durations to original durations.
However, this time it is not working. It is throwing an error on about 100 activities saying it cannot set them to Not Started because of actuals. There are no resources in this schedule. I have checked several times.
Does anyone know what is up? I can change this manual by clicking off the finish date, changing remaining to original manually and then clicking off the start date but that is a tedious manual process. Plus I just want to know why in a several thousand activity schedule, the global change would work for 90% of the activities but not 100 or so activities.
this is a 2 step process.
1. Choose Enterprise, Projects and select the Calculations tab. Choose to "Link Budget and At Completion for not started activities" and "Reset Remaining Duration and Units to Original
2. Choose View, Columns and add the columns for Actual Labor Units, Actual Nonlabor Units.
