Assigning baseline

I have a question about assigning baselines each time I am updating. For the projects that I am working on I have to assign he final baseline for each month's schedule update. Is there any way to assign the baseline for the project and not have to add from maintain baseline and assign baseline for each update. I know that once it's assigned it stays there. But I have to export the updated schedule to client and once approved by them have to import it again and start over with next month's update which makes me lose the baseline.

If you do have to export to the client and allow them to make modifications, I would create a Reflection, send that to the client and then merge the reflection back into your file. Two things; you can see what they change, and you keep your baselines.

I am not sure why you would have to import it back in. You mean they actually make modifications to your project ? I have never heard of that. I know they can review it and make comments but all WORK done within the project which includes incorporation of any comments should be done by you NOT the client or a third party consultant. This is like letting them into your bank account how do you EXACTLY what they did to your schedule ?
