Self-development in the planning field

Dear colleagues,

Here are my considerations.

Working as a planning specialist in a construction project (oil&gas) for several years i'm starting to notice that from year to year there remains less new information and so it's getting more boring. Most of books and resources offer the same old things - CPM, critical chain, various hints for primavera (which are more interface of the particular software than planning issues).

I'd like to inquire if the memders of this community have any advice regarding what to read/watch. I mean any books, websites etc. or maybe even youtube channels o smth like this.

Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

There's very little 'new' in project controls from a tools perspective Critical Chain, Monte Carlo and Earned Schedule are all more than 10 years old. I find the best way to learn and improve is volanteering - at the moment the 'Guild' has losts of work on developing its reference system.
