making a summary programme

Client need a summary programme created by the consultant to have a realistic forecast date for the project completion considering the current delays , which is to be extracted from the contractor's schedule .

What is your approach ?

Hi Janaka,

First create a summary programme based on contractors programme of works.

Fix the contractual dates as milestones. Link the Engineering and procurement properly.Create a baseline and update the progress as per the current status. Schedule the programme with latest datadate then you can see the realistic probable finish date of the programme. Compare with the baseline to track the dalayed areas of work . Do necessary acceleration.

Best Regards,

Hi Janaka,

One of the way, is to update the contractor's schedule of works.Add a new WBS, with a set of key milestones (Required/Requested by Client for delay notification) logically linked with the updated contractor's schedule and then collapse the full Schedule in to high level WBS.
