I'd like to create a layout in project view where if project status = planned, inactive, active etc. it gives me a bar of a different colour for each.
I tried to create filters for this but they don't appear to be available in the when I try to add a filter from 'bars' when I right click on the Gantt.
Can anyone help me with this please? Tried this on two dtabases - no joy, mystified!

Just succeeded using project codes - thanks guys.
One curious thing though, I have to have the projects open for the bars to show, tried switching the timescale between 'current', 'forecast' to 'remain' etc. but gives same result. Strangley for one or two, that doesn't matter and I can't see why.
Oh well, just have to open all the projects concerned!

Shame that because that presumably means I'd have to change the project code myself as the status of the project changes...

activities in progress timescale should be remaining bar and the filter should be activity status equals inprogresS
activities completed timescle should be actual bar and the filter should be activity status equals completed
activities not statrred timescle should be current bar and the filter should be activity status equals not started
REMEMBER TO UNCHECK ALL OTHER BARS

Nick, first create a project code. Assign these code to those projects accordingly. Then create the bars colors for each code..
