Installing P6 on a remote server with Oracle Database

Can someone please advise on where we can get information on installing P6 on a remote server which concurrent users can access using Oracle as the database? (Not the express version).  Quotations for setting up Oracle on the server seem outrageously high.  Can the database just be installed and P6 on top of it without all these "settings" which no one seems to be able to give an firm estimate for doing, we are being told:

When to P6 ver 8 software is installed in a (server+clients) environment, it has to be set-up separately and requires the web based software too, where the administrator function resides.   That is what requires many hours for set-up.  Oracle estimated 7-10 days, whereas other vendors estimated 4-7 days.

Is there not a complete solution without a cost of thousands of dollars for just the database?

As an alternative to the Oracle database is using full SQL equivalent?

Many thanks for your input.

we run P6 on a remote server using the full blown sql.

we have concurrent users and you are correct the administrator functions must be run seperately using a web browser.

I do not see how it could take more than 4 days especially if the server is already set-up.
