In my (construction) programme (P6 v7) three Level of Effort activities in the second level of WBS are linked with the first activity “Commencement of the Project” with “SS” relationship and the last activity of the project “Project Completion Date” with “FF” relationship i.e. the whole project and showing a duration 610 days each the WBS summary also showing 610 days.
The calendar of these activities are “6 Days a Week”.
The activities related to the Client, Engineer, and the Local Authorities have “5 Day Work”
The engineering and procurement activities have “7 Day Work” calendar.
All the construction activities have “6 Days Work” calendar.
I could not understand this behavior of the schedule but I have to explain this to my Client’s planner, can anyone help me?

Hi,
You should change your LOE acitivity calendar same with your WBS. Because your activities have differen calendars, WBS will choose the proejct default calenda, which is ste in Project details tab.

a LOE activity will span from the start date of the predecessor SS activity to the end date of the successor activity FF
its calendar and wbs does not matter

I don't really understand your question.
The duration of LoE and of WBS-summary activities is defined by other activities. This is independent from their calendar. WBS-summary spans over a wbs-element.
Projects with different locations frequently work with different working contracts. In addition you have local holidays etc.
