Im having some trouble. I have task scheduled for lets say Oct 24 2013-June 15 2013. In the resource asssignments its showing dates like January 6 2014-Jul 2016? I have checked the resources and they are scheduled Oct 24 2013-June 15 2013 as well. I know if I changed the org duration I can get it closer to the June 15 2013 date but that still doesnt solve it starting earlier as I cant get it to budge from the Jan 6 start. Thanks so much I am having a hard time

Hey Derrick,
I beleive I have been encountering the same issue or a variation. Have you made any progress? I have been searching online for months but I haven't found a solution.
The following described the problem I am encountering.
Resources on an activity do one of the following:
1) Operate normally. The resource uses the activity Remaining Early Start and Remaining Early Finish. When the activity exends or shortens in duration the resource does the same.
2) Resource duration stays static. The resource has a set duration and it will not change with activity unless the user manually changes the resource duration.
3) Resource used late start/finish. The resource seems to acknoledge the activity start and finish dates. The resource will also modify it's duration if the activity duration is modified. However the resource is using the activities Remaining Late Start and Finish.
Are you encountering issues like this or something different?

So i have dabbled with this one for months and once I post it I figure it out, why on earth is Start and Finish not always in line with Planned Start and Planned Finish what is the point of having 2???
