P6 Resource Curves

The Enterprise menu lists a number of cost curves (bell shaped, front end loaded, back end loaded etc..)

How do I assign a cost curve to an activity or resource for a specific activity?  Any help is much appreciated.

curves are assigned to individual resources on individual activities. Assign a resource to an activity in the tab at the bottom then in the resource window rigth click choose Customize Activity Detail and expand the General tab and select curve.

now click in the curve window and choose the curve that you want to use

I have made a revised schedule  in the middle of a project with actuals and remaining works in seperate WBS and costs and resources assigned to both. But when i look at the S curve is shows only one bar for all the costs and resource usage for actual works completed , the bar is at the month just before the data date . I want it to show distributed bars within the time period but unable to do so.... can you please advise

Earlier when i used resource curve i faced the following issues when the activity status is in progress


1.Actual Cost is not getting updated.

2.Actual Unit is not Getting Updated.

3.Unit % Complete is not getting updated (based on Resource curve against Duration%).

4.Earned Value is showing zero (When we enable use resource curve option in WBS Earned value) .

5.At Completion Cost is not equal to budgeted total cost

6.At Completion unit is showing Irrerelevant data

 

Can you pls confirm whether you are also facing the same issue when the activity staus is in progress
