Recently, we received comments by the Client's Representative on the submitted 'Baseline Schedule'. One of the comment is to incorporate quantities in Primavera P6 and to provide the same along with production rates in 'Excel' format also.
My question is that is it mandatory to do provide the quantities & the production rates? What's the general practice in this regard, is it necessary to submitt this information all the time along with the Baseline Schedule?
Hoping to have some guidance on this issue from the Senior's out there. Thanks in advance.

You do not have the quantities but you do have the prices.
Resource hours can be extracted from the net price by using a % labour cost divided by the hourly rate.
In this way you have closed the triangle of time / scope / money.

Nice to hear from you again. I completely agree with you that the CR's request is vaid. Actually, our programme is loaded with 'Manpower Resources' and Cost. For Cost loading, the BOQ Cost was broken down to the required levels & details of the programme and assigned to the activities.
One of the Contract Clause with respect to "Programme to be Furnished" says: "The programme shall include a histogram indicating the number of workmen and their respective trade and class which the Contractor and Contractor's Sub-Contractors proposed to employ on the site from week to week through the period of the construction of the work."
This what we did, but by bypassing the normal route of calculating manpower required based on quantities to be executed and the production rates. The Manpower resources were allocated to all the activities based on assumptions only, since we didn't have the quantities to work out the manpower required. Now, to be honest we don't have the quantities at all.
So, in this case what should be our response to such a comment from the CR?

The C R is usually entitled to request any reasonable information from the contractor.
This request is normal for resource modelling data.
If your programme is not resource modelled and there is no requirement in the contract for it to be so then there is no basis for this data.
However if you get into a claim situation that requires info on low productivity you may regret not giving the data now.
