There could be some reasons. If all what they have suggested failed then you have to get inside the MS SQL Server 2005 core. This happens if you have 1) large data overload in the database, 2) database error in connection (inside the core), or your 3) MS SQL Server shut down without you knowing it.
1) Ok Start by checking if your MS SQL Server is running
---->Programs > MS SQL Server 2005/2008 > SQL Server Configuration Manager (Check if all services are "green"). If "Green", then your SQL server is perfectly fine.
2) Proceed to the database management. Go to Programs > MS Sql server 2005/2008 > SQL Studio
- Username : sa ; password : Prima123Vera
- Find your database ---> if you installed the default it should be 'pmdb$primavera", right click and 'refresh'.
Usually this works...
Please post if not, well check for some other solutions...
BTW if you need to create several databases consider creating a different Windows User Account for each additional one and install the software on a Windows Virtual PC on each user account.
Please note it might only work on the separate Virtual PC's as only one database will be allowed on the regular windows environment.
It is not as good as if using a better Microsoft or Oracle database but it shall do the trick until you upgrade your database.
Consider using free virus protection software you shall install on each virtual PC.
Free AVG is as good as the pay version.

Juan,
The default password for the pubuser account is, pubuser (all lower-case letters.) Good luck!
Juan,
Normally, the user and password is the same "admin"
Good Luck
Daniel

I will not be able to provide you with help as I would never use such software but wish good luck.
Best regards,
