Hi all,
daily I use P6 and I am here to ask a favour. I don't know what happened some days ago, but everytime when P6 starts, I display the same layout I used for an old project .I'd like to know how I can change this user preference/setting because I'd like to start P6 with the last layout I used before the last closing.
Can somebody help me please?
I dont know where I can change this setting.

Michele, this might be coming late....we are in October 2013! I was having the same problem and as you said, it drove me crazy too. I use a baseline whose layout takes priority over the current project. In other words, my current project was always opening using the baseline project layout. I simply restored the baseline project and saved it in my current layout. Closed it and put it back as a new baseline. I then opened the current project and voila, I now have control over my layout. I guess the baseline layout best be saved for all users (?).....
That's the last move.
Before doing so, backup all your works.

Ok, the problem is my DB is installed by localhost but not in a server. It should work in the same way, but any attempt is apparently useless... I think I have to reinstall P6! :(

I encounter the same problem on my PC as client and I am a poweruser of it, I instructed the IT dept to restart the DB in the server and since that restarting, it works well.
Thanks once again Raymund but it doesn't work. After restarting of database, I also reboot winxp, but it is the same.
I have no idea what it is! Are you sure there is no user preference to set that?

If you are using SQL server.... access your services and search for SQL Primavera then on the left pane you will find the options ... Stop... Pause... Restart

I use P6 release 6.2.1 SP2.
Is there no editor in P6 to manage this user preference? I already tried to check the admin and user preference editors, but I don't find anything.
I don't know what else I can do about...

with version 7, the task windows always displays the last layout in use
