Manpower definition

Hi guys I have a basic question please

Could someone enlighten me by what is meant by manpower, production rates and difference between manhours with manpower.

Any explanation is much appreciated.

Manpower I guess is the same as Horsepower;

or maybe health and nourishment will make the difference?

for sure it's not the same as the number of crew and Man-hours...

So in effect, am I right  to say Manpower is the number of crewon a particular task i.e if i have 3 riggers my manpower is 3 ?

Welcome to Planning Planet

I do not know of any standard definition for the terms Manpower and Manhours.

I would suggest that Manpower is the gang size allocated to a task and Manhours is the ammount of hours required to complete the task.

Productioin rate is how much work is to be completed in a set time unit.
