I am working on a schedule and I have some actuals, but then there are dates that don't have actuals and they are getting pushed out by the data date even though they have relationships that should push them out months after the data date? Any ideas on how to fix this?

It's hard to offer meaningful advice without some more specifics
Could you give us an example of an activity which is causing you problems -please tell us:
1) early & late start & finish dates calculated by P6 vs dates you think you should be getting
2) calendar and duration
3) details of all predecessors -including predecessor early / actual dates, relationship type and lag, calendars of the predeccesors, and which precessor is driving
4) any constraints or expected finish dates on the activity
5) any constraints on the project
6) All of the schedule options you have selected (F9 > options > general tab)
7) If you have levelled resources
