My company just purchased and installed a license for P6 v.8.2 Web, and I was assigned the task of getting projects uploaded for training. This module is much different than the P6 v. 7 that I have been using for the past 2 years. Reading the User Guide and using the Help topics in the Software, I have yet to figure out how to import/export XER and PRX files into the P6 v.8.2 database. Can someone please point me in the right direction. I will be attending training courses for the software, but would like to be able to import/export projects on my own so I can begin exploring the features.

Thanks for ttip! I actually heard that because people were having so many problems with P6 Release 8, that Oracle has already come out with Release 9. Again, thanks for the help.
Are you using web access, or the client?
If you're using the web access thingy, you'd have to change the preferences...
Sure sucks that the import/export's disabled by default.
Steps below:
Log in to P6 EPPM.
Click on Administer, and application settings. You should be able to find the setting someplace there.
I can't say for certain, 'cos my EPPM just crashed and I can't get into it.
WTH POS software is this!
