Making Gantt chart and resource usage views independently viewable in MSP 2007

Hi,

When we split window with Gantt chart on top and resource view below (or vice versa), clicking on the top window causes a filter/shortlist on the below window. Is there any way to stop this?

What I want to do is (for big mpp's), adjust task dependencies and priorities such that that optimal resource allocation for all resources. So what I want is both Gant chart and resource usage in full view i.e. not filter/shortlist views in the bottom view if a row is selected in top view (if you know what I mean).

Is there a way to do this?

regards.

Hi proj2,

no, you can't have a combined view without the top one filtering the bottom one; this is built in MSP

the only way around, but not practical for big mpp's as you say, would be to select ALL the rows in the Gantt Chart; you would see in the bottom pane the project data filtered for ALL the selected rows
