I am facing problems while getting resource histograms in P6 as i used to get in P3. Early responses from all are appreciated..

In your assigned resources, set your Budget Units per Time as per your requirements.
To see if there will be issue due to limts of availability of resources, set your max units per time for the subject resource.

I am having an issue with creating a histogram in P6.
What i have is six jobs running at the same time or close to each other. I want to be able to show the accommodation requirements that the construction companies will require during this time. this is due to us being a remote mining operation.
AKA i want to show that Job 1 will require 60 rooms per day during phase 1. I then want to show that Job 2 will require 80 rooms per day during phase 1. I then want to show that if we only have 120 rooms available during those times, we will have an issue.
Please advise how you would sort this one out.

Emma: Are you also getting graphical reports (Histograms & curves) through Report Wizard.I want a graphical report in P6.

What's the problem you are having with histograms? I've just set some up and there is an issue with showing units as number of resource per time period as opposed to hours per timeperiod which is apparently resolved with a service pack for P6v7 (if only I could download it!).

I tried to get a graphical report of resources in P6 as previously i used to do in P3. Now i wanted to have same type of report in P6 (with header/footer) beside activity usage profile graphs, as we cant have multiple resource histograms or curves on one sheet.
For the time being i m exporting my data to p3 or excel to get those reports/graphs.

make clear which kind of problem you have encounter, any particuller .
which primavera version you are using,
In P6 ver 7 you just load the resource or cost and click Activity usage profile tab from bar menu.
if you are not able to see any histogram in right side of your screen then right click then go in activity usage profile option.
there is user interface screen you can see that screnn ,-------- what ever you want to do.
