I've seen a few posts on similar subjects on PP and through searching the internet, but not seen a reply that works for me (as yet!!).
When I used MSP2003, I could set up a "Summary Progress" bar that superimposed itself over the "Summary Bar".
However, when I try to do this in MSP2007, the progress bar gets hidden. I can show the progress bar if I set the bar shape so that it appears below the summary bar shape, but I cannot get it to appear on the same line which is our preferred option.
Not sure if MS have taken off the ability to do this, or I have completely lost the plot!!!
Any help gratefully received.
Tony,
when you copy the project schedule from one mpp file to another, you only copy the tasks and resources, not the barts and filters setup
therefore your new project is using the default setup you were missing in the first one

Alexandre,
Thanks for replying. Having had yet another look at the problem, it does seem as if it is related to one project file only - not sure why the Summary Progress will not show within the planned summary bar on this particular file, but having copied the entire content into a new file, it does now appear to be showing as I want it. Strange.....!!!!
Tony,
it works exactly the same way in MSP 2007 as in MSP 2003
be carefull to enter the same number in the "Row" column when setting up the Progress Bar on Summary Tasks; I presume you have 1 for Planned Summary and 2 for Progress Summary
