I created a project by importing an Excel spread sheet and a baseline was created in my project. The tasks are change orders and we will link this project to the original project by opening both projects. Since the change orders are not part of the original project I would need for them not ot effect the baseline numbers (BL Budgetted Units). Currently they are added in once I go to a combined view. Is there a way to zero out the baseline data?

Ron - what baseline are you using for each project: (a) <current project> or (b) other(s)?
Hi Ron,
In P6 a baseline is basically a snapshot of the project as it stood at a moment in time. You can then pick a snapshot to compare your project to - up to three at a time, or none if you wish (which is what you want I think).
You can choose not to compare your project to a baseline - sort of like turning it off.
Goto to the Project Menu - > Assign Baselines. You should see a bunch of dropdowns. In the one labeled Project Baseline - set it to "Current Project". Do the same for the Primary, Secondary and Tertiary dropdowns.
You've now set no baseline for comparison - sort of like zeroing out the baseline data as you described it.
Come back later and put them back if you wish at any time.
Hope that helps,
Michael
