Tracking Critical Path

Hi:

1) Is there any way tracking forward or backward activities on critical path one by one?

and

2) Is there any way to make a non-critical activity a critical activity?

1)

Show the activity details at the bottom of the screen (View > Show on Bottom > Activity details).

Ensure the relationships tab is included (Rigth click on activity detais screen > Customise Activty Details

Ensure the columns "Driving" and "critical" are shown for both predcessors and successors (right click in predecessor area > Customise Predecessor Columns, repeat for successor table

2)

There are many ways to make a non-critical activity critical, but I can't imagine why you would want to other than in order to decieve someone. -What are you trying to achieve?

Hi Asim,

1-you ca use filters if you want to track only activities that are on critical path.

2-why you want to bring non-Critical activities into critical path.Leave it to the software you are using.

Still as an information, the Critical path is the path comprising of activities that have zero float. If an activity is not on critical path then it means that it is having float not equal to zero. Not you will have to play with the activities relationships and duration to make total float equal to zero.but i won't suggest you to make such changes.others my have their own opinion.
