Is it possible to create a recurring task in Primaver 6, as we do it in MS Project 2007. Im in the process of creating a Maintenance Schedule for Plant Utilites like chillers and air compressor. I want the dates to fall on a particular week or day of each year. We already have a schedule created in SAP 6.0, but i thought i could use the Primavera 6.0 to schedule as per the availability of the resources.
Please help if there is way to create a recurring task in P6.

But i think that will require a lot of calendars. Im trying to see if can create a Plant Maintenance schedule for various Plant Equipments, around 500 in all. Now most of these activities will have to be repeated after 6 months and some are to occur every 3 months. So i want to have the same task showing with 4 different Start and Finish Dates.
Example:-
PM of Air Compressor
This activity should be visible as four separate activities of the same name having their starts spnned out after 3 months. Like the way it is possible in MS Project 2007.
So is there a separate way to do this.

You can create a calender with just the working days you want the recurring task to happen. Then apply the recurring task to this calender with the duration same as the number of recurrence.
