Cost Loading in Programme

Hi Edniel,

You can upload cost in both ways.It depends on the requirement of your organization.I have worked with an organization in the start of my career and i was only required to provide the schedule and actual % complete.Resource loading was not their requirement. For that I just entered the activity cost against all activities and perform Earned value analysis using that limited data. But when their is requirement of Resource assignment and Histrograms, then obviously you make a complete schedule loaded with resources and expenses in all respects. So if you just need to enter the activity cost from BOQ, you can use expence tab for your ease.

Dear Edniel

It depends on your costs and of your needs for controlling. I assume you’ll need both:

- Costs related to a resource (men, equipment, material) and time: Resource, rate per unit, and units or budget for an assignment (parameter "rate source")

- Costs related to an activity, e.g. a milestone --> expenses
