When you un-installed P6, this did not automatically un-install MSDE (the SQL server). MSDE is a separate program that must be un-installed separately. When you randomly deleted one of the MSDE folders you, in effect, cursed your computer. Now you have the registry full of MSDE entries and a lot of MSDE files scattered throughout your computer without any method of removing them in an automated manner.
Manual deletion of these entries & files is possible, but only by an expert in Windows and MSDE. The clear choice left to you is to back-up everything and then re-install Windows, formatting the entire harddisk in the process. Then you will have to re-install all of your programs and then restore the data. While this is a lot of work, I am very sure that this drastic course of action will achieve your goal quicker than manual hacking.
It is not a good practice to go around directly deleting files and folders if you do not know exactly what you are doing. By the way, get rid of the VISTA operating system in lieu of Windows 7 and watch out that you are not exceeding your allowed number of P6 licenses with all of these installations. Good luck!

The uninstall of MS-SQL server doesnt work properly. In the registry youll still find some entries. Remove them and the installation will work.
Your local dealer should know this.
