Do any of you know of any planning courses which cover all aspects of planning?

I am a planner for a large utility company, i have been planning now for almost a year and i want to make sure that the processess i have put in place are correct.

I have searched for training but only come across primavera training to which i have done most of the courses, these are more based at the software rather than planning in general.

I need to be able to know all planning aspects from kicking off a project, baselining, control, capture, reporting and close.

If you could recomend any training providers that would be great.

There are several general courses available.

A number of providers world-wide offer training for the AACEi PSP credential (but you need to be really good to pass this exam…. See http://www.aacei.org/educ/cert/PSP/

There are also courses available for the PMI-SP credential – we have one.  See: http://www.mosaicprojects.com.au/Training-Planning.html

At a far more practical level, the CIOB (UK) are developing a series of credentials – these will be launched later this year with exams available from Q1 2012.  For more on this see: http://www.mosaicprojects.com.au/Training-CIOB-TM_Credential.html(UK courses will be available later this year from Athena PM).

And we also offer software free training based on good practice, the next public course is in Doha.  See: http://www.mosaicprojects.com.au/Training-PMGen%205-STEPS.html

Hope this helps.
