Have a Project Manager who wants certain activities high-lighted or different colors/bold in the Gantt Chart view. No one has ever asked this of me so don't know how and searching around in Help hasn't done me much good.

Hi Robert McGhee
You can try it out using user defined fields, Select start date1 and finish date 1, maintain start date of the activity to be highlighted and start date 1 (User defined start ) same similarly for finish date & finish date 1
In the bar chart option select the named user defined fields with start date 1 and finish date 1 and change their colour

Dear robert
there is no option in primavera to change the color of the indivisual activity, but there is some work around which i have detailed below.
1)
this option needs you to take the help of the windows.
select the activities that you want to highlight then go to control panel----display options ---appearance --advanced ---selected then here you can change the background color and font color then apply.
after you take the print out you can reset the settings to original format..
2) you can also do the highlighting with the help of acrobat proffesional where you have the option to highlight the specific row with different colour.
try these options
Cheers
You can't change the format of a specific activity's text as Mike suggests, but there are other ways to highlight specific activities:
-you can change the format of that activity's bar (including what bar labels are displayed), or
-change the hieght of it's row, or
- add an extra layer of grouping to your wbs
-Add a new column in the gantt chart
-Add an "XXX" in the front of the activity name
-Would any of these suffice?
Hi Robert
You can't do this in P6 - change one text and you change them all.
Switch to PowerProject for the full rainbow effect.
Best regards
