Performance percentage completion: On updating the P6 Program of works monthly (Feb 2011 to Mar 2011)overall percentage completion (Performance Pct Complete ) found to be decreased ,is there any reason behind it?

Shahul,
There is no other way but to check activity by activty and comparing it to your last months report, i am sure you can find anomalies. you can do a quick check by filtering activities completed and activities in progress.

No new activities are added.Baseline program is cost loaded .Performance percentage is used for measuring actual field progress through feeding physical percentage in to the activities

I agree with your statement .I did the same and increased the activity percentage as they advance over a month time period .In the end I got strange result is that decrease in percentage when compared with last month.

At summary level performance % complete is (BCWP * 100) / BAC.
have you added any new activities since last month?
how are you measuring % complete?

Performance percent complete depends on % complete type. Please check there is any change on that fo activities or not.
