Guys I need some help...I am working in P6 in my office and exported my schedule in xer format so I can work at home. After importing the file in my laptop, I noticed that the durations have been changed as well as the start/finish dates(calendar settings did not change, 10working hours/day,7am to 6pm w/ 1 hr break), the start dates are at 8:00AM and finish dates at 5:00PM (8hours only,1hr break) although the calendar settings is at 10hrs/day..i tried to reschedule but still it, finish dates are still ending at 5:00PM and still calculating at 8hrs/day work.in the first place, duration shall not change after I imported the file and all the settings shall have been preserved...Any solution???

Mr. Daniel got it right. Configuration settings in ADMIN and USER PREFERENCES in both computers must be same to avoid such inconsistency. I am using P6v0 both in the office and at home.

I have encountered the same problem a couple of times, this occurs because of the difference in configurations between computers. First off, P6 calculates in hours and the default is 8 hrs /day and the moment you change this, you will encounter this problem. Make sure that the configurations on both computers are the same and also make sure that the "Admin Preference" are consistent wit the "Users Preference". Also check your Global Calendar and Project Calendar.
