Thanks Gary, quite good detail anwer of my Question.... yeah it's worth taking permanant offer... in terms of job security and training stuff...
Obviously a lot will depend on the money on offer, but apart from that:
-Relevant sector experience is probably the biggest factor when recruiting a planner, so someone with 10 years in construction will tend to earn more in construction jobs than those with 5yrs in construction and 5 in energy. Those with 5 in each though can obviously apply for jobs in both sectors, so has more opportunities.
-Good Energy planners tend to earn more than good construction planners, but it is harder to become a good energy planner as the projects tend to be more complex.
-The permanent role with a major company will probably come with lots of free training and mentoring, and more job security.
