White Goods!!??

White goods are freestanding items like fridges, cookers, etc. It is common in residential projects to have these as part of the contract and covered by a provisional sum.

However, if they include items like washers & dishwashers, then they have to be plumbed-in, so they should be shown as an activity on the baseline programme. Often, the items are selected by the employer and the release date for the provisional sum should take this into account and be carefully monitored as such.

If this was the provisional sum in the contract, like setting up of site office facilities, i feel that will be coming under camp running category - mess facilities)

Doesn’t white goods usually refer to "sanitary-ware", i.e. wc’s, toilet pans, cisterns, baths and wash basins etc.

Does this help?
