Excel Dates to P6

Is anybody here could inform me what format of start & finish dates in excel that could be imported straight in P6 and gives me the correct dates to P6? Is this possible? If so, this will save us time to create a project in P6 wherein we don't need to input anything in P6 but by importing all data from excel like activity ID, Activity Name, Start and Finish dates. Thus, do i need to use dates in custom format or real dates in excel or text date or gen date? All these didn't work actually. What else then?

Ferdinand,

Yes you are right. And make sure on the login sheet tab set the "View Durations In" matching with the duration you entered.

thanks raymund...but in this case you don't need the finish dates instead, Start & Durations.

Hi Ferdinand,

You need to use a real dates but have to input a constraints type CS_MANDSTART on the primary constraint type column and input also the corresponding start date in the Primary constraint date.
