I would like to share some info
the information given by Mr Khan is the normal method statement for Pre-fabrication and Erection of a Tank, if you want I share to you a complete method statement of other disciplines which completes the tank farm like civil works and cathodic protection. just pm your email add and I'll send it to you

Tanks -
First step to identify which type of tanks are involve in your scope of work,
Types of tanks are under.
1- Cone Roof Tank---
2- dome roof tank
3-floating roof tank.
The fabrication steps for all types of tanks are same but Floating Roof Tanks is more critical one,
here is the fabrication Steps as , you may use as a Activities,
Annular Bottom plate fabrication
Sketch Bottom plate fabrication.
Bottom Sump Pit Fabrication
Annular/ Skt.Plate underneath Priming if applicable in your project.
Shell plate Edge Cutting Bevel cutting ( Ref. Tank .GA Drawing , Showman shell course)
Shell Plate Rolling
Shell plate Priming
Wind Girder Fabrication.
Wind Girder Priming
Shell Man holes & Nozzles Fabrication
Welding of Shell manhole & Nozzles
Shell Plate PWHT if required for your project ( Check Technical Documents)
Tank Erection / Installation. activity Steps
Installation of Bottom Sump
Installation of Bottom Annular Plate & Weld
Installation of Bottom Sketch Plate Weld
1st Shell Course Erection, and weld ( Vertical Weld & Horizontal weld) for all shell course
2nd shell course erection and weld
go up to tank height ,
Installation of Wind girder and weld.
