Hi friends,
I need to assign the same resource to all activities in P6 schedule. How it can be done using global change? Can anyone advise?

Select all activities and right click on mouse you will able to see assign resource click on it then resource window will be opened from that choose the resource which is created for the particular project and then assign it.

Highlight 1 activty at the top of your programme, click on the add resource button, highlight every activity that you wish to resource. then simply go back to the assign resource window and add the resource that you require. this will add it to every highlighted activity.

My suggestion is that if you have a common parameter ie the prefix of an Activity ID, or all of the activities have the same activity code you can write a global change that says:
Where [Activity Id contains xx] or [Activity Code equals xx]
Then Resource ID/Name equals xx
The only drawback is that it will automatically default to whatever the available working units are, so if your demand differs from task to task you will have to review once the global change has been done.
