The error arises when the SDK drivers are not installed correctly. you need to install the PMSDK for it.

Thanks for the link but there was an error in my excell "Row 0: rosoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified"

I am new to this forum.

I am using P6V7 (stand alone with Oracle 10g XE). I want to use excel SDK for updating my Project Data. I have seen many questions in our forum on the same subject.  There were many answers from you but those were sent to the member's mail ID.  It would helpful if you guide me in using Excel SDK with P6 V7. Will the activity, dictionary, & WBS excel files thats working on P6.1 work on P6 v7 as well? I am not sure if I have the same files as yours as i got mine in some thread here before, and that was way back the time of P6.0. Can I have a copy of the files you are sending to everyone, my email address is [email protected].

PS. Are these files in xlsx format? I want to maximize the use of the available rows in excel 2010 or 2007. Btw, the files i have are in xls format and the last time I used it in a project with lots of activities, codes, and resources, I ended up editing the macro to accomodate the excess rows (65536 limit of excel 2003 version) to that of 2007 or 2010 version which is around 1M. And the problem with this is that I am not an expert in editing ro creating macros. Hope what you have maximizes the added capabilities of the newer verion of excel.

You shall be able to create your Excel templates to transfer data within the softwares same as other software do, shall be a 123 procedure.
