Just wondering, is there is a function to quickly do resource search and assignment.
I am using MS Project 2003 and the resource assignment tool works fine if you have 10 resources, but when you have a lot of resources then scrolling through all resources and clicking individual ones becomes difficult.
I would expect to have something like you have when composing email in MS outlook, where you can quickly select people of the contact lists.
Does it exist may be in the later versions of outlook?

unfortunately not, there is no way to get MS Project suggesting the resource's full name when you start entering the resource name's first letters
in MS Project 2003 as in newer versions 2007 and 2010, it is possible to use filters to shorten the resource list ; it will help to select the resources, and you will be able to click them quicker on the list.
