when logging to your P6...choose PMSDK as your database...then put your PC Name/PRIMAVERA as your Host Name and pmdb$primavera as your database name...

First you have to go to your control panel=>Administrative Tools=>Data Sources(ODBC)....Click ODBC then click the TAb System DSN=>Add...then look for Software Development Kit...click it then Finish.
Your SDK will be shown then Configure it....put ODBC Name Primavera SDK..then OK.

The cause of error while installing P6 client is the original source installed to you machine is from C: drive as mention on installation error. To fixed this un-install P6 client and reinstall using P6CD1 or copy P6 CD1 to C: Drive (C:\Primavera P6.1\ directory) or alternatively ask your IT and he might do something when they install Primavera on your PC. (I suspect that P6 was installed remotely and your IT copy P6 CD1 to your c: drive first and installed).

2. Dictionary
3. WBS

As what you have said, "Unable to locate file C:\Primavera P6.1\Primavera 6.1.msi", it means that your file in that folder is missing. Secure another copy and try to re-install again.
Tell me if you installed already and I will send you the Excel Files for SDK.

I am still receiving error message while installation process, if the file is corrupted as you stated so how can my P6 work properly?

when you run SETUP...choose modify then you will find the option for SDK...choose SDK only and follow instructions to complete your installation.
perhaps your file is moved to other directory or otherwise it was corrupted. Check exactly the location of your installation files.

I inserted CD-1 to installed SDK but unfortunately I got this message:
"Setup could not find a file on the specified path or disk.
Please check that the proper disk is inserted or specify a new path.
Unable to locate file C:\Primavera P6.1\Primavera 6.1.msi."

SDK is included in your P6.x installer in CD1. Run the setup again then choose modify. You will find SDK option then check the box beside it then follow the instructions to complete your installation.
