Hi Rodel?

My query is about the budgeted unit for Resource " Cash.cash 12208000", is there a standard in calculating the budgeted unit for this?.

I’m just curious on how to calculate.

Thanks

Christopher,

It seems that your resources as assigned to cost account and taken from the estimate. What is the problem with that and what is your query?

Christopher,

What do you mean by rule of thumb in computing budgeted units for CASH resource? P6 defaults is duration * hours per unit when assigning resources.

The rule of thumbs is a guess estimate (based on experience) of how many resources will work for each activity.

Ex: Excavation: (manual)

Labor: labor/cum

Excavation: (machine)

Labor: Operator/cum

Machine: Excavator hrs/cum

Depending on location, country and soil components - norms plus contingencies can be used.
