Roger,
Would you believe that I knew someone would support my comment. Dont know why.
Pre-fabricate everything. They had the right concept in mind in the 60s, with system building.

Many a true word said in jest Darrell. The foundations for the cills in the Thames Barrier were constructed in dry dock and then floated into position.
Don’t forget to make it out of wood or plastic, it floats better that way.
Prefabricate it off site & just deliver & position.

To avoid all these doubts of underground services/deep fdns etc., develop the construction schedule sequence based on the construction drawings.
Dont forget to allow for any temporary works required especially if it is a deep foundation.

What about underground services. Ducts etc.
A Simple rule is from bottom to top.
Think I may have won the arguement my friend, thanks!
If you have construction drawings for the raft foundation(for an example), you can develop the construction sequence.
If you have divided the raft area into some zones, then for any zone the probable construction sequence would be
Excavation->Blinding->Reinforcement->Sideformwork->Concreting->Curing->RemovalofFormwork and then based on the design/drawing if you have steel column works, you can develop the program further as provision for fixing of base plates(before concreting), steel column members etc...............
