Moutaz,
I have used the book many times myself and it is my first port of call whenever I need to provide instruction to a new planner, or someone who has not used Primavera previously.
Generally I will give the individual some basic instruction and ask them to read the first 2 chapters, then sit with them after that and work through to the end of workshop 2 or 3.
Following that I just let them go through the remainder of the book and workshops at their own pace, and have a catch up every afternoon for 1/2 an hour to see if they have any questions, discuss the workshop outcomes and plan the next segment of training.
Following the person going through the book it is generally time to put them on a more formalised course. We have also used the author to conduct courses in our company and the benefit from the students doing the course prior to the training I beleive lets the course content and delivery change and adapt to the audience much more easily.
Anyhow that’s my 2 cents worth.
Andy
Guys,
Correct me if i am wrong, but when it comes to resources and cost, the book only gives a basic information on how to and the exercises provided is not an intermediate stage when it comes to resources and costing.
Ruel
Hi Moutaz,
yes, it is. There are study cases, exercises and lots of screen shot as examples. As I said, the book will give you the knowledge about Primavera P6 from the basic up to intermidate level including resource and cost.

Thanks Duy,
Is there case study and do you think it is good in terms of rsources and costs?

Moutaz
Hi Moutaz,
I bought that book few months ago and still using it as a reference when it comes to basic definitions and settings in primavera p6.
I think that is a good book and very useful for beginners when you come to Primavera.
