I would have procuring of the subcontractor under procurement wbs, and the work they are doing for you (engineering, construction or commissioning) under that wbs
It largely depends on what you use your wbs for though.
As rodel says, you can use activity codes to identify subby work

You have 2 ways of dealing with this scenario. Either creates a WBS for subcontractor or inserts a WBS for contractor for each main WBS and create a Activity Code to identify Subcontractor when filtering, Group & Sort.
