Also check what dates are used to drive the bar itself.
Maybe have an old baseline assigned that drives the dates or bar set to another set of dates.
Long shot but who knows.

Regina,
If total duration its Hours per time period settings. It should match to your calendar. If using P6.1 to P6.2 check Edit-> User Preferences-> Time Units tab and under Hours per time period change working hours to match your calendar (i.e. 8/d, 40/w, 173/m, etc...). If using P6v7 check Admin-> Admin Preferences-> Time Period tab-> make sure use calendar to hour per time period is tick and under calendar settings click time period and change from there.
Regina,
Check your time period settings
Rodel what I mean is when you substract finish date and start date the result number of days do no reflect the duration of the activity. It is not a format problem, so answer #1 does not apply.
I will check your answers 2 & 3 tomorrow and let you know tomorrow evening....thanks a lot for your prompt support!

Hi Regina,
What do you mean by Activity dates does not reflect its duration? Is it on Gantt chart or on Column? Can you elaborate more so I can help you out?
Anyway here is my attempt.
If not showing on the Gantt chart the possible reasons are:
1) Bar duration is too small to show on Timescale (Change the time scale (i.e. Month/week or week/day).
2) Original Duration is not synchronize with remaining duration (i.e. OD =5 RD = 0) To resolve that under Project Window-> Calculation tab-> Under Activities , Link Budget At Completion for not stated activities is not tick. It also combines with Reset remaining duration and Unit to original.
3) Calendar problem -> check your calendar settings.
If not showing on the column:
See 2 or 3 suggestion above.
